Science Experiment: Dancing Currants

This term, our inquiry focus is around 'how does science help us to understand our world'. We begun our investigation last week by exploring some of the characteristics scientists have. We found out they are curious, creative, ask lots of questions, observe things closely and explore and discover things they love. The children realised that they are all scientists!

On Thursday we conducted our first experiment called 'dancing currants'. To say the children were astonished is an understatement. I wish I recored their faces in the photos!!

This experiment is very easy to do at home and only requires vinegar, water, baking soda and currants.
