We were learning about similes and metaphors today in writing. We wrote about Mr Topham and made a book for him. He came and collected it this afternoon. We think it might have made him laugh!
What a successful day! We managed to avoid the rain and cold and the children all had a great time. Thank you to all the parents and friends who came along to support and encourage the children!
The children have loved pretending to be hairdressers during ACTIVE play times. It has been great to see how well they take turns and communicate their plans and ideas.
Today in maths we did some more problem based work with quarters. The children are getting very good at working out what a 1/4 of a group is. We saw lots of great buddy work happening today too which was awesome to see.
Today we had a great session where the children labelled their body parts using correct terminology. We talked about body parts that everyone has, and then body parts that are specific to either boys or girls. It would be great if you could practice using the correct names with the children at home.
A huge thank you to all the those who came along for Grandparent's Day! We had an excellent turn out and I know that it meant a lot to the children to show their families around their studio. We hope you all enjoyed the special assembly we put on!
