Using the Bee Bots

Today the children in Whio learnt how to program the Bee Bots. We learnt that the robots are only able to go forward, one square at a a time or do one quarter turn. The Bee Bots explore early computing and programming and teach control, sequencing, directional language and algorithms.




Kyree, Justin, Euan and Juan had races to get from one point to another. First they programmed the route they wanted their Bee Bot to go. Then the tested their programming to see if we got to the point they wanted.

Fun First Week!

What a wonderful start to the year! The children have been busy getting to know each other during this first week. Teachers have been supporting the children to establish positive behaviours for learning and play. The children in every T group have blown us away by their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
